Join our Thailand teaching team

Udon Thani International School (UDIS) is a co-educational, day school for students from the expatriate community of Udon Thani and Thai students seeking an international education. UDIS is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and offers a broad and comprehensive curriculum, based on the National Curriculum of England (NCE), to students from 2 to 17 years of age. The school is an authorised school for the IB’s Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The school is also a candidate school for the Diploma Programme (DP). The school is fully accredited with the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate is an advantage, however what is more important is the willingness to recognise the diversity that exists in the student body and not to teach from a mono-cultural perspective. We are primarily looking for teachers who will be able to inspire in their students a love for learning.

We usually offer a range of Thailand teaching jobs within the International Baccalaureate (IB) including Primary Years Programme (PYP) teachers, Middle Years Programme (MYP) teachers and Diploma Programme (DP) teachers. We employ staff in leadership positions in Thailand including PYP coordinators, MYP coordinators, DP coordinators and Junior and Senior School Principals.

Currently (December, 2024), we have the following positions available:

For the 2025/2026 academic year, we are inviting prospective applications in these areas:

What our staff say about working at UDIS

"Joining Udon Thani International School has been one of the best decisions of my career. The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment where teachers are encouraged to innovate and grow. The leadership team truly values our input and provides ample opportunities for professional development. My daughter also attends UDIS, and the benefits for her have been remarkable. She receives individualized attention from dedicated teachers who nurture their academic and personal growth. The school's emphasis on holistic education ensures that my child is excelling academically and developing essential life skills and values. The school provides access to a well-rounded education that balances academics, arts, and extracurricular activities, helping her develop into a confident, well-rounded individual. For anyone considering Udon Thani International School, whether as a potential employee or as a place for your children’s education, I can wholeheartedly say it’s an exceptional community committed to excellence and well-being."

I’m thrilled to be part of UDIS! We have a community of teachers who truly collaborate to help our students succeed. Every day, when I walk on campus, I see students ready to learn. They are creative and eager to wrestle with challenging ideas and concepts in class. What really stands out is the UDIS community. This smaller school environment fosters strong connections between teachers, students, and parents. Whether it’s cheering on the football team on a hot Saturday morning or judging a speaking competition after school on the other side of town, we all support each and every one of our students. Personally, UDIS is an exciting place to meet, teach, and learn—yes, even on a Monday morning!

Hi, I’m Ms. Dae, and I’ve been part of this school for over 8 years. I started as a teaching assistant and am now a preschool homeroom teacher. This place truly feels like family to me. The support from both leadership and my colleagues has been incredible, helping me grow in my career, continue my studies, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. The school has also supported my son’s education. He’s been here since Preschool and is now in Year 6, thriving in this positive environment. He’s happy here, and I’m grateful to be part of this community.

Having lived in large cities in SE Asia, it has been good living in Udon Thani, with the advantages of a small city, minus the traffic, pollution and noise. Udon Thani is a family friendly community with various attractions and a welcoming atmosphere. This is also the case with UDIS, given a smaller staffing group and intimate tropical surrounds. My daughter found it easy to establish a supportive cohort of friends, which was important moving to a completely new environment. She likes her close contact with teachers, as she can approach them for help and guidance as needed. For both of us, it has been nice to have smaller class sizes, enabling better relationship development and one-to-one support. As a staff member, having convenient access to leadership and other staff creates a collegial and supportive environment. In terms of a lifestyle choice, the best thing is it takes just a few minutes to get to and from school, leaving more time to do the things that matter.

"One of the unique benefits has been the opportunity for my child to study here. Seeing them thrive in such a nurturing and innovative learning environment reassures me of the school’s dedication to excellence, both for students and staff. UDIS isn’t just a workplace—it’s a family."

My name is Phibzia Siddiqui, and I arrived in Udon Thani in 2015 as the EAL Coordinator at UDIS. Since then, this city has become my home, where I met my partner, got married, and am now raising two children in a culturally rich, laid-back environment. Over the years, I have been privileged to grow within the school, and I now serve as Early Years Coordinator. One of the greatest benefits of being part of this community is that my children also attend UDIS, allowing them to learn in the same supportive, close-knit environment where they experience the sense of belonging and growth that I value in my work. I am grateful for the opportunity to raise my family here and for the personal and professional growth I have experienced at UDIS, and I look forward to many more years in this special community.
