Family and friends of students are all invited to join our Sports Day in the spirit of the Olympic games on Friday the 30th of January 2015 at 8:30-11:30 at UDIS.
In a series of races and fun activities, our students will be celebrating sportsmanship, fair play, respect and individual responsibility. The event will involve children across all years and we have already split children into 5 teams; each one representing a colour of the Olympic rings. The main objective is to encourage our kids to set goals for themselves and be proud about their achievements as well as to enhance their desire to succeed in a competitive environment. It is also a good occasion for the kids to show their leadership skills and to learn how to thrive within a team. This is the best opportunity to meet other parents and display our pride to be part of the UDIS community.
We are asking that everyone is dressed in the proper colour sport shirt, which can be purchased at the office starting on Tuesday, and P.E. shorts or P.E. pants on Friday. A water bottle, hat, sunscreen and a change of clothes should be brought in on this day, as well.
We do hope that you will be able to attend the opening ceremony which will precede the the competition and the medal ceremony at the end of the day.
